Tanzania has three international airports at Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro.

You will get good deals on hop-in flights transiting through Dubai ranging between 40000 to 50000 INR in tourist season ( Jan-Feb) to Dar es Salaam.

Visa for Indians

Tanzania offers visa on arrival for Indian citizens. You can also opt for  Online visa application processing prior to departure or get a visa after arrival in Tanzania. Strongly recommend that you exercise the online option. The Visa fees for Indian citizens is INR 3250.

Currency

The prevalent currency is use is the Tanzania shilling or the USD. The USD is accepted at many places but some decline and ask for the local currency. The greenback should not be wrinkled, old as these are not accepted by the local shops; so take some crisp new notes with you.

Lodging

Tanzania has home-stay concept as well as hotels which are pretty reasonable. Airbnb offers decent accommodations at 1000-3000 INR per night if you are looking at a budget trip. However, do spend a night at one of the luxury camp lodges and retreats

The mid-segment ones vary anywhere between 14000-20000 INR per night but offers a unique experience of staying in the wild.
